The Elizabethans
Unique Madrigal Singers

The Elizabethans will take you back in time to the England of Queen Elizabeth I. Imagine yourself as a guest at one of the castles where you are entertained by instruments, dancing and madrigal singing. Brought to England from Italy in the 16th century, the madrigal flourished during England’s Renaissance, becoming a favorite form of entertainment.
The Elizabethans sing, dance and play instruments, dressed in elaborate gowns designed after those worn by the Queen’s Ladies-in-Waiting. Their repertoire ranges from Renaissance madrigals to contemporary choral music. Bookings are available from September through May.
